Grace Jula

My name is grace Jula, 56 years. Fualwonga is where I worship. I was very happy when I was selected to be among the people to undergo the discipleship making movement in fualwonga parish organized by feat Africa a faith based organization working in Pakwach district.

Before the call for the training, I work in my church as a women leader where I felt still my faith was not strengthen much but with the in depth teaching on the scriptures of Christ Jesus, the that lived full of worldly adoring will come to an end and instead live  to praise God as a Christian.

The training made me understand the bible very well and also taught me how to preach the gospel to the world in fulfilment of the scriptures. I now feel nourished with the holy gospel of Christ Jesus our savior. At my age now, I wish to worship and prays my God through evangelizing the good news of Christ to the world. With the knowledge I have got, I now plan to go and participate fully in a door to door evangelism program in my village.

“With the fruit of faith Feat Africa has offered through fualwonga church, we shall go out to the world and bring to God the lost sheep that are out there. Says Jula.”

This is the time we will use to give direction to the youth in our church to know Christ as their personal savior. I pray God gives us the strength to fulfill his calling our church.

“We thank you feat Africa for the initiative to empower us with word of God through the discipleship movement making training. We pray that you do the same to other people in our communities. Says Jula.”

ASIKI AGELE

My name is Asiki Agele, 40 years, a peasant farmer, a father of 7, living in Godria Awu village. Godria is a one of the villages with a unique and loving group of people in DR Congo. The people living in this village are very much marginalized when it comes to clean water, we drink from unprotected spring and streams. Typhoid, diarrhea, stomach ache, skin rushes are very common due to the dirty water we use in homes.

In the side of medication, we spend about 200,000shillings on medication. We borrow money and sometimes one sells the available animals to pay the bills.
“Agele declares that, the problem of access to clean water has harmfully affected the social life of many families.”

Nevertheless, with the response for clean water access by feat Africa at house hold level through the use of the biosand filters, my family with the community of Godria will be different. Ailments got from drinking dirty water will reduce. I believe, I will not suffer from typhoid regularly like before, and I will be able to care for my family.

I got information on the biosand filters from during a training on clean and safe water access in our homes done in our church by humanitarian workers from Feat Africa, and I immediately requested for one.
I will be able to save money for other activities in the future and it will help us to save enough for the family and educate the children.

“I am proud for feat Africa for the support by giving us clean and better ways of drinking safe water for our homes and Godria Village. May God bless you and we pray you continue to support our people, says Agele.”

Jurua Emmanuel

My name is Emmanuel Jurua, 33 years, a pastor of the born again church in Likya village, in this village, many Christians have been battling health problems, with some of them being as a result of drinking unsafe water.  Many Christian’s miss church services to sicknesses like, Typhoid, diarrhea, stomach ache, among others which are very common here. This has greatly affected church services.

I used to preach the word of God to the Christians in home states who are unable to go for prayers in the church and most of them testify of poor health that makes them not go to church on Sundays with others being old age.

“But generally, many people from the village were not enriched with the Gospel of Christ whereby many of them have taken to live a life full of the earthly desires, says Jurua.”

With the protection of spring water by feat Africa, the Christians’ attendance of church has improved. There’s a great reduction in illnesses that used to affect Christians, The number of Christians has increased during service.

Since the protection of the spring by feat Africa, the community’s social life changed and many people came church. The project has improved the church programs through the clean water for drinking.

The project has helped the church to preach the gospel to many people. The loveliness of Christ is always shared through access to clean water.

“I thank feat Africa for blessings giving us with clean for our community. May God bless you and as you continue to support our people, says Jurua.”

REV. THOMSON OYIKRWOTH

Praise the lord, my name is Thomson Oyikrwoth, the parish priest of fualwonga parish in Alwi sub county Pakwach district. I am grateful for the discipleship making movement training that has positively impacted on the Christians that have been trained. The training has empowered me allot since many have been called for the work of Christ. It was not an easy work before due to resource constraints whereby the ministry works were on done within the church due to shortage in the number of disciples.

Since the start of the training, the disciples trained have started to put in practice the skills and knowledge they have got from the training with some of them going to minister in the various villages. The result of the training was visible as 5 people accepted Christ Jesus as their personal savior.

“Before this training organized by feat Africa, we had challenges in evangelism due to the numbers of people with the knowledge of evangelizing to the world. Says Oyikrwoth.”

Resources and evangelists were also not there to organize for such trainings but with the empowerment from feat Africa, I believe that evangelism in fualwonga parish will cover a great area and many people will be reached with the gospel of Christ.

As the church of Fualwonga, we now praise the almighty God’s name for giving us such a great opportunity to be equipped with the holy word and use it to preach to others. We pray that God blessing be upon us in the community of fualwonga parish and give the same opportunity to other parishes.

“Thank you feat Africa for the support to our church and community, may God bless you and continue to support our people. Says Oyikrwoth.”

Odipio Jamba

Hello, my name is Odipio Jamba, 47 years old and a father to 9 children. I work as the catechist for the Anglican Church in kidyairi. When I was posted to this church, I realized that there are many Christians who were not coming to church especially during Sundays. Many of them did that because they lacked access to the gospel truth. While others are as a result of health problems.

There was no clean and safe water for use in the church and the community at large. Women could move long distances in search of clean and safe water for use in the church and at home.
The Lack of access to clean and safe water for the community has led to decline in the number of people attending church service. In our door to door ministry, I learnt that sickness like typhoid, stomach ache, diarrhea among others were very commonly in the communities which has greatly kept many people from coming to holy word of God. The Christians spent allot of money to treat their sick ones in the communities.

Since the spring was protected by feat Africa, I have seen a great change in the lives the Christians and the community at large.
“The number of Christians attending church services and other programs has improved greatly now, the cases of illnesses like typhoid has reduced now. People are able to now pay school fees for their children and even support the church financially now. Says Jamba”.

As the church of Kidyairi, we now praise the almighty God’s name for answering our prayers for clean water in the community of kidyairi village.
“Thank you feat Africa for the support to our church and community, may God bless you and continue to support our people. Says Jamba”
